Understanding the Human and Environmental Issues
Living together, sharing and respecting the planet’s resources—these are the great challenges facing each one of us today. The beauty of our Earth reminds us of its fragility every each day, threatened as it is by the growing human footprint. Might humanity have a tendency to forget the impact of our choices on the future of our habitat?

To encourage one and all to preserve and protect the environment while simultaneously opening up to others, it is important to foster an understanding of the human and environmental issues of our time.
That is why the GoodPlanet Foundation endeavors to develop a range of programs that are available to all and enable people to approach and understand various sustainable development issues, to keep up to date about these social-environmental issues, and to be enriched by cultural diversity.
Our various programs therefore provide an opportunity to:
- Learn about the environment and environmental issues through GoodPlanet.Info, which provides access to up-to-date news, as well as a large selection of publicationson specific issues, including biodiversity, forests, demography, the climate and nuclear.
- Educate children about sustainable development through GoodPlanet posters, teaching tools provided free of charge for French educational institutions.
- Discover the beauty of the planet through thematic exhibitions that showcase stunning photos by top photographers, including our founder, Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
The GoodPlanet Foundation highlighted two specific themes addressed in the different programs: Forests and Oceans. - Meet others through the 7 billion Others program, a collection of video portraits of men and women, from near and far, sharing their personal experiences with the rest of the world.
Human, the new Yann Arthus-Bertrand movie will feature these 2 last items.
